Our adoption counselor called last week and has been playing phone tag with Ryan since then. Today he finally talked to her, but not much was new. She said that they think the Philippines is currently placing children with families that were approved in 2007. We of course are Jan. of 2008. She is guessing that it will be a 2 year wait from our approval date. Kind of a bummer since we thought it was moving faster because our friends got their referral already.
She also said the reason she called is that she is pregnant and will not be returning to work after the baby is born. So that means we get a new social worker. That's okay because we haven't had that much contact with her really anyway. Most of our contact will be after our placement. I just hope we don't get lost somewhere in paperwork world.
That's the update, you didn't say it had to be a positive update.

Dang. I'm sorry you didn't get better news yesterday. Still praying that things go faster than they are telling you. I can't wait to see your family growing in leaps and bounds!!
I am sorry to hear your news wasn't good news. Maybe you won't end up waiting the full two years. We'll keep hoping!
I know how hard it is to wait when you are ready to have more children. God will make sure that, when it happens, it will happen at just the right time!
