One year ago today I was on cloud nine because we received our referral for Shella May. Today I told her the story of how we found out and how excited we were.
Well, last night we got an email from our agency telling us that we received our official Affidavit of Consent to Adopt from ICAB. Now I just have to complete the paperwork that I have been procrastinating on for the past 6 months. Then when that paperwork is all done we get to go to court to finalize our adoption. We already told the kids that it will be a big special day in our house and we will celebrate!

Julie, I can remember that post so clearly saying that you had been matched with a little girl. It was such exciting news! I hope that your paperwork goes smoothly and good luck with it!!
What a neat thing that the ICAB report came exactly a year after the original news about Shella May being part of our family. That makes it a double reason to celebrate.

Wow, has it really been one year?? I didn't realize that there was a ton more paperwork to do once the consent form arrives? Is it hard, time consuming? And here I thought we were in the home stretch with paperwork. Ugh!

You may have already done all of your paperwork, or it could be just for MN. It is just a bunch of court documents and stuff for DHS here. Come to think of it, it seems all MN.
