Adoption Update

We have turned in our huge paper about ourselves and it was only 15 pages long! I guess we don't have much to say about ourselves. Our next step is meeting with our adoption counselor to complete our home study and to start our dossier. We are going to meet her on Oct. 30, pay a lot of money and we're off to the next phase. We currently don't have any homework, so that is a nice break. I have been in contact with someone that works at the orphanage we want to adopt from. We have been discussing by e-mail some possible matches. We are so busy these days that the waiting hasn't really hit anyone, but I'm sure after we have been matched it will be hard.

Yay for you two! I am so happy it is starting to roll now. Hmm.. now does this mean you have free time?

Are you still thinking about a sibling group? This is all very exciting!

Yes, we are still thinking siblings, in fact I have two children "picked out". Now we are trying to figure out if we can actually adopt those specific children. I'll post a link to the blog I read that has pictures of all of the children there.

Oh yes, please post the link! I'd love to see them!

So which two children do you have "picked out"? And what are your chances of getting them? If I had tons of money I would grab that big family of nine kids just so that they could all stay together. And Rose & Luz ... they are so beautiful! I'd have to have them too. You think Brian can afford 11 extra children on his enlisted pay?!?

In the sibling groups there is a group of 4; Joy, Bercil, John Lloyd, John Louie. We want all 4 but mom has taken back Joy and Bercil. We are going to try for the twins, but we don't have a very good chance according to our social worker. We will see what happens. We are asking that all of the children are under 10 years old. I'm sure Brian would love to have 11 children!!
