A new design

I changed my page design just for the new year, but I added something to it. I added a picture that we took 2 years ago when we visited Epcot. I hate this picture because I look as fat as I am in it. So I'm sorry I have to torture all of you, but I put this picture here because I probably go to my blog more times then anyone else a day to check to see if others have posted. Now every time I go to the page I will see myself and it will motivate me to lose weight. I don't know if it will work, but try to put up. Again, sorry to torture all of you. Focus on the boys, they look cute:)

I like your new page design. I need a visual stimulus when I have a goal too. I made a table for the first ten weeks of the year to keep track of my exercising. That way if I don't do anything during the day and I have to write a big "0" on that day I will feel bad. So far it is working. I feel good writing down how far I walk if I do well. Then I can see it at the end of the day. Good luck with your new life changes and your plans. Tell Ryan one of my resolutions is to finally read his book! I read about 15 pages this morning and I like it so far :)

Amy, I'll tell Ryan that you are going to read it. He loves it when people read it and give feedback too. I think one of his new year's resolutions is going to be trying to get an agent again. He got so discouraged last time.

I like your site's new look. The pic's background reminds me of some place in Morocco or Andalusian Spain--good memories. Good luck on the plan! ~emilie

Good eye Emilie. The picture was taken in Epcot's Morroco. I would love to really go there. I have a student from Morocco and she is one of my fave students. Not saying all the people there are like her, but it is a good start.

You can do it, Julie! At least you don't have to worry about gaining it all back again. I have to keep that in mind, and it is a little bit discouraging for me to even try to reach my goal weight. Maybe I should just wait until we're all done having babies...

Happy New Year Julie,
You are so creative with your new page layouts, I'm jealous. And great idea with the picture. I am in the same boat and am looking forward to a healthier 2009!

Julie,
Your new page design looks great. I'd love to do something different as well but I just haven't sat down to try. I lost 80 pounds 8 years ago and I've since gained back around 10 pounds with all the goodies over Christmas. I put one of my "fat" pictures back up on the fridge and that usually works to keep me out of there but sometimes I just ignore the picture and dive right into the fridge! Good luck with it!
