Well today was Shella May's first day of school. We go to a year round school, so it started on Aug.3rd. The other kids were pretty much in their routine already, but Shella May just jumped right in. She says she had a great day. She is doing half day kindergarten. My plan is to hang around school and volunteer the 3 hours she is there each day. I'm not in her classroom, just in the building if needed. She said she did math and they read a book. She came home with an art hat on her head and a proud smile on her face.

Yea, glad to hear that her first day of school went well. That is so nice that you are able to hang out in the building just in case. And I am sure the teachers are loving your help. My mom was a kindergarten teacher and she loved those volunteer moms. :)

Way to go Sheila May!! She looks sooo cute in her jumper and her school bag. Sounds like she's adapting really well.
I'm sure the school is very happy that you're volunteering your time...that's smart...that way, you can jump in if Sheila May needs you. Just in case...
What a huge success! Glad to hear things went great and she had a great day. Jay-R is now loving kindergarten, too.
Great to hear she had a wonderful 1st day. I hope the rest of the week went well too. She looks adorable in her uniform.
